On March 28, our touch team hosted a home tournament for the second time: the Former Capital Cup 2026. The tournament is designed to give newer teams the opportunity to gain match experience at a slightly lower level. With players from a total of 9 clubs, five teams were formed, including 3 combined sides. The Bonn team was supported by five players from Solingen. Despite the new formation, the team started with a victory against the Frankfurt\/Heidelberg\/Hannover combined side. Communication among the players was good right from the start. The second and third games both ended in a draw (2-2 against Stuttgart and 4-4 against Cologne\/Karlsruhe), while weather conditions made play difficult due to continuous rain. After the lunch break, the Bonn\/Solingen side started with a win against the Berlin Bruisers. In the subsequent rematch against F\/HD\/H, the team narrowly lost 4-3. The final game, once again against Cologne\/Karlsruhe, was dominated by the hosts, and the victory secured them second place in the tournament.
\nOverall, everyone had a lot of fun despite the weather and was able to improve both their personal skills and the team performance over the course of the tournament. We are already looking forward to FCC 2027. <\/p>\n
