U14 Tournament in Aachen<\/h1>\n

Congratulations to our U14 players in the joint team with Cologne.<\/div>\n

The standings look very good: https:\/\/www.meinturnier.info\/<\/wbr>35176<\/a><\/p>\n

It was a very good tournament today in Aachen – despite the bitter cold and strong winds. However, the fifth place out of eight teams in total needs further comment: <\/p>\n

The first three places went to the Hague Rugby Club. They are Dutch U14 champions, have a total of 100 players (in the U14 category), have a long waiting list for new players, and are already playing in a somewhat different league than all other teams. <\/p>\n

Our four Bonn players, as always, enjoyed playing with our Cologne friends. We suffered a rather clear defeat against the best Hague team at the beginning – but in the third game against Hague’s third team, we were almost on par, fought superbly, and still narrowly lost. For me, however, it was the best of the three games! <\/p>\n

Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures; it was too cold, and my hands had to stay in my pockets\u2026<\/p>\n

Thanks to Max (#bestcoachthereis) who accompanied us today! And of course, to the players: Annelie, Leo, Aaron, and Mats. <\/p>\n
