For the first time in the history of touch rugby in Bonn, we were able to host a tournament on March 29, 2025. After a year and a half of finding a date and several months of preparation, the Former Capital Cup was finally able to take place. It was held under the motto of the development of touch rugby in Germany, so the focus was on offering less experienced players the opportunity to compete on an equal footing. The 7 teams were able to prove themselves on two pitches and with a total of 21 matches. In addition to players from 9 German teams (Berlin, Bonn, Bremen, Frankfurt, Hanover, Heidelberg, Cologne, Solingen and Stuttgart), we also had international guests from Sofia, who competed as a syndicate with Solingen and were able to claim victory in the tournament.
\nOverall, we can look back on a great tournament in the best weather, from which everyone came away with at least one gain in playing experience. <\/p>\n
