U8 – U12 school tournament in H\u00fcrth on 06.10.2024<\/h1>\n

Sunday morning, there was already a light early morning mist on the fields, the course is also nice and green, but it’s fall and it was really shady this morning before the sun came out. This is the first time we have been invited to the school tournament at RC H\u00fcrth 1960 e.V.. Due to other commitments, only 8 of our children are competing in the three age groups. But the other clubs have also arrived today with small teams: RC Aachen e.V.
\nRC Br\u00fchl – B\u00fchler TV 1879 e.V.
\nD\u00fcsseldorf Dragons – TuS D\u00fcsseldorf 1895 e.V.
\nRSV K\u00f6lner e.V. So the organizers, coaches and team managers have agreed on three teams per age group and to help each other out if the number of players is not sufficient for one team. Our U8 and U10 players played in Cologne. The players are getting to know each other better and better and the flow of the game is improving from time to time. With the U12s, it was a bit more than just a team.
\nThe pirate team with players from H\u00fcrth, Br\u00fchl, Cologne and Bonn became an unstoppable train.
\nThe first game went like clockwork and the team sports greeting “Rheinuferbahn” was celebrated in the short form of “Chu-Chu-Chu” during the triumphant triumphs.
\nIn the end, it was a very clear victory against RC Aachen e.V.
\nIn the second game against the Dragons, the train picked up speed again and the nine Pirates gave their all. It was a match of equals and tries were scored on both sides. In the end, the coals in the fire seemed to burn out faster than the Dragons’ strength, there was a bit more fire in the breath. So it was a narrow defeat. Thanks again to the coaches Felix (Cologne) and Timo (Bonn). We look forward to the next tournament and wish you a good recovery. Greetings Thomas P.
