Youth tournament U8-U12<\/strong><\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

It’s Sunday October 29 in the fall of 2023, with optimal rugby weather we host our student tournament U8-U12 of the season 23\/24.<\/div>\n
Game Day management, coaches, support staff and parents gave it their all and it should be a promising day.<\/div>\n
The fields are staked out and marked, the grill is set up, the buffet is growing.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

We welcome our guests from the clubs:<\/div>\n
Rugby Club Aachen e.V.
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
Dragons D\u00fcseldorf in <\/span>TuS D\u00fcsseldorf 1895 e.V.<\/div>\n
Rugby Sport Verein K\u00f6ln e.V.
\n<\/span><\/div>\n

In total we have about 80 players at the start
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
U8 22 players
\nU10 30 players<\/span><\/div>\n
U12 29 players
\n<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

In each age group, 3 teams will be formed in pirate mode and there will be a first and second leg to allow the children maximum playing time and opportunity to gain experience.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The U8s always play through, without changing sides, to reduce left-right weaknesses.<\/span><\/div>\n
Everyone else gets a halftime break to drink and coach.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Kick-off is at 11 a.m. sharp, the schedule is “tight” but we stay within the framework.<\/div>\n
So do the players, all matches are played very fairly but sportingly and there are many passes, tackles, scrums and tries worth seeing.<\/div>\n
The great referees do their part to make it really a very good tournament.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Finally, there will be a sausage, fries, salad and cake.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Of course, the award ceremony may not be missing and all captains get a certificate for their team in a festive atmosphere.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

What remains? The field clears, the guests take their leave. But there is still a family (siblings, aunts, uncles) who try themselves in rugby, guided by two of our U10s, they visibly have fun.<\/div>\n
Who knows, maybe they’ll come to one of our training sessions, men’s, women’s or touch rugby soon.<\/div>\n
